This website collects nothing about you. It is a set of plain files served to your browser. There are no accounts, no database behind it, and no analytics or advertising trackers. These pages set no cookies and keep no record of you on your device — your browser saves copies of the pages and pictures in its ordinary cache, as it does for any website, and that is all.

There is also nowhere for anything you type to go. Where an older preview page still shows a message box, it is a mock-up left over from an earlier draft: it is not connected to anything and the campaign will not receive what you write in it. Please don’t use it for anything that matters. Tick-boxes and choosers on other pages likewise only change what you see on your own screen; using them sends nothing.

This site contacts nobody else

Your browser fetches everything on these pages — the words, the pictures and the lettering — from this site alone. Nothing is loaded from Google, from a social network, from an advertising network or from any other company, so no third party is told that you visited, what you looked at, or what device you used.

Who serves these pages

Whichever company hosts a website can see the requests browsers make to it, including your IP address, in its ordinary server logs. This site is not published yet, and the campaign has not settled who will host it, so this page cannot honestly name that company or say how long such logs would be kept. Both belong here before the site goes live.

Links that leave this site

The Team Login link in the header and footer goes to a separate campaign system run on another provider, for campaign staff. This policy covers only the pages of this website, not anything you reach by leaving it.

Your rights, and the route that is missing Haki zako

The Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 gives you rights over personal information an organisation holds about you. In outline, you may:

• be told what is held about you, and see it;
• have it corrected if it is wrong;
• have it deleted where the law does not require it to be kept;
• withdraw your consent to messages you are not obliged to receive;
• complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC).

Those rights are the law’s. They are not something this campaign grants you, and nothing on this page can take them away.

This website holds nothing about you, so there is nothing here to show you, correct or delete. If you have given information to members of the campaign team in person, that sits with the campaign as an organisation, not with this site.

The address this page carries for data requests is info@wahome2027.exampleNot a working address. .example is a domain reserved for illustrations; it cannot receive mail, so anything sent there goes nowhere.

So the honest position today is that the campaign has published no working way to reach it with a data request. Until a real address appears on this page, the ODPC is an independent public body with its own published complaint channels, and it can be approached directly without going through the campaign.

Contributions and terms Vigezo na Masharti

No contribution terms are in force, because no contribution can be made. This site has no payment channel, and the M-PESA paybill shown on the contribute pages is a row of placeholder zeros rather than a live account. Please do not send money to it.

The rules that will govern contributions once an account exists — who may give, what a receipt records, whether and when money is returned, how contributions are treated for tax, and what must be reported under the Election Campaign Financing Act — have not been settled and no lawyer has checked them. This page therefore states none of them. A rule nobody has agreed to is worse than a blank space.

This page used to say that anything provisional is marked as provisional. It is not, and that line has been removed: it gave false comfort about everything that carried no mark. Where a page does show a preview notice, read it — but the absence of one is not a guarantee.
